Privacy Policy

Last updated July 19, 2026

This policy explains what data AirBrief collects, why, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the platform.

1. What we collect

Account data: your name, email, and password (stored only as a secure hash), plus optional profile settings like timezone and notification preferences.

Learning data: your enrollments, lesson progress, quiz and exam attempts, and certificates.

Payment data: purchases are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation and an order record; we do not receive or store your full card number.

2. How we use it

To provide the service: grant course access, save your progress, grade assessments, issue certificates, and send transactional email (verification, receipts, exam-unlock, and certificate notices).

To keep the platform secure and to comply with legal and accounting obligations.

3. Who we share it with

We share data only with the providers needed to operate: our payment processor (Stripe), our email provider, and our cloud storage/database hosts. Each processes data on our behalf under their own terms.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Sessions and cookies

We use a single first-party session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Retention and deletion

You can delete your account from Profile → Security. Deletion removes your courses, progress, and account access.

Certificates that were already issued remain publicly verifiable after deletion, because their value depends on being checkable by third parties. They no longer link back to a live account.

6. Your rights and contact

You can access and update most of your data from your profile, and request export or deletion by contacting us.
